Codominant segregation of the SacI polymorphism demonstrated in one family; demonstrated in 3 families for the TaqI polymorphism.
The A2 allele of the SacI polymorphism results from the presence of an additional SacI site at 5.8 kb in 3' of V11.
Run on 0.8% agarose gels and hybridize under low stringency conditions.
Subcloned from lambdaJM15. Contains the 5' region of the gene.
The probe detects the following invariant genomic fragments (kb): HindIII--19; EcoRI--11.2; PvuII--4.0.
